Actually, It was not my intention to offer a 'different' view Lynne. When I read Jadamz's encounter it was the second time I had heard someone speak of The Fae in a true way. While I was in the vicinity with Hannah, the experience was exclusively hers. We, as in Hannah, her daughter and her daughter's best friend, were camped at a State Park on the banks of Lake Pratt in Wyoming, which is a whole other story. We had arrived late afternoon, pitched tents, cooked, and settled the kids to bed. It was full dark and we were sitting at the picnic table talking. One minute we were sitting at the table, the next moment we were still at the picnic table but the table was sitting in the middle of a ring of trees. Before I could digest that visual and say something Hannah was gone. The last glimpse I had of her she was standing in front of some kind of opening at a wooded boundary that was outlined in some kind of neon purple light and then was gone and so was she. Next thing I knew it was morning and I was in the tent and so was she.

We didn't even talk about it til the next day. I never asked but she eventually talked. She never offered full details, but told me she had been with The Fae and lent me some understandings into their nature. I had no reason to doubt her words. When I confronted this person it was in the defense of The Fae... But the details/Truths came from Hannah. Jadamz's story is the same story different setting. I suspect that those who have true experiences with The Fae are a very rare few, at least since the far past. I also suspect an even rarer few come back to tell of it. But, like you, my knowledge is limited to what Hannah told me and the details I witnessed surrounding the situation, which I have told you here.

Yes, Darcy...that description resonated with me. Thank you for sharing that!!!

Right? I mean these details she was using were totally over the fence and down the road to anything I have ever read or heard.

I was just clarifying Lynne. I have a strangely large percentage of times I speak one thing and find myself in trouble for offending someone about a totally different thing. I have PTSD it is happening so frequently in the last year. I like it here. I'll clarify til the cow's come home to keep this from happening.

I certainly consider myself fortunate having had my experience. I am quite sure that if I had a whole bunch of concepts in my head about the Fae, I would not have been as open to perceiving what I did. It was the research I did post-experience, that was illuminating.

Every word of it is true. I get chills even as I read what I wrote. The P.S is that after returning to the U.S, I madly devoured every book I could find on faeries. Come to find out, and I had no knowledge of this beforehand....it is in the lore that you should never take food or drink from faeries because you will not be able to go home again!!! I nearly fell off my chair when I found out that little nugget. I am very blessed to have had that experience and it is as clear and visceral as it was the day it occurred.

I would have eatin the food and drink, I just would have especialy knowing why, now if I didnt know why I probably would think it was God speaking to me... He doesn't take "no" for an answer well.

I've been to Iona twice but not for many years now and it's the place I wrote my first ever tune that was subsequently performed and recorded. The island has a feel to it like no other place I've been, peaceful, timeless, magical. Sitting on the top of Dun I the islands highest point the banjo I brought with me played itself, something I've never experienced before or since despite playing outdoors many time. Now this wasn't a mystical duelling banjos or anything paranormal just a combination of circumstances. A breeze started the strings vibrating sounding a bit like a hum so I started fingering some chords and melodies producing this wonderful sustained string sound. I've never been able to recreate it.

I found out later that the minister of the abbey heard it in his study and went hunting for the radio that was playing the strange music

Possibly an extension of Annwyn? IIRC, there's a legend that a portal existed between our worlds that men could pass freely, so long as they took nothing. Of course some jackhole took some flower petals back and ruined it for everyone.

That's pretty old school... Annwyn. Basically Eden from a Celt view.

To be fair, I'm pretty old.

I wasn't making fun... I'm 'pretty old' myself. Old School is familiar to me. Is what I was saying.

I didn't take it that way at all.

The real question is why I'm up at a quarter of 1. Can't blame this on old.

Wow, that's fascinating. Why would keep someone from going home? Would it possibly be drugged or poisoned?

Wow you did an excellent job of describing this. Thanks. I have a better understanding now.

Ok one more question. What was the take away for you, from this expierence ? Did it change your perspectives on reality and beliefs ?

That makes me wonder, Jadamz, did it change your perspectives on benches? :p j/k. that's an awesome experience. Thanks for sharing it with us!

"The fae are utterly egoless."

i must disagree with the declarer on that. i think fairies are conceded. it's all about the individual fairy. i don't think they are of a "hive" mentality either.

I don't mean anything by this, but how do you know this?

AHhaha Now,I still like benches! What I learned was sticking in there and staying on the bench, even if it rains. i think the Fae realized I was determined to make a connection even if it was uncomfortable

Was there a time difference when you got back? Say you were gone for an hour, in Faery and when you got back it had been 6 hours or more in your time?

Debi said:

THIS EXPERIENCE IS FROM @jadamz. SHE'S SPOKEN BRIEFLY OF IT BEFORE, BUT HERE IS THE FULL STORY FOR YOU.

You wanted to hear one of my stories about the Fae...One little story..About 20 years ago,.I was in the Hebrides, the isle of Iona on the far west coast of Scotland and I had an encounter. I had never thought much one way or the other about faeries but a couple days before I left for my trip, it was all I could think about. I decided I was going to really try to make a connection with them on my trip.

I always travel solo and really go to where I am guided. I traveled thru several islands off the west coast of Scotland and I was going to every faery hill I could find, leaving little items like cloth (a lovely piece of Harris Tweed), food, flowers and the like. I knew my trip was coming to an end soon and I had pretty much given up on the idea of contacting them.

The day before I left for the U.S, I was sitting on a little bench behind a faery hill on the tiny little Isle of Iona and looking out over the little beach to the sea. Out of NOWHERE it started pissing down rain. With determination, I sat there on that bench, rain and all, and refused to leave. I sat there for another 5 or 10 minutes getting soaked. Then the rain lightened up a bit and I was watching the seagulls walking on the beach and the strangest thought came to me. "What if those birds AREN'T birds?" Well, boom next thing I know I feel myself being yanked/pulled backwards (now my body is still on the bench) but the rest of me was moving backwards with quite a bit of velocity and I found myself about 50 yards back down the path I had walked down to the bench.

I saw what I can only describe as 2 apple doll faced beings-verrry old and wrinkly-no botox for sure ! -man and wife about a foot or so tall dressed in well...kinda gnome clothing...country folk.... dark browns and greens. What blew my mind was the incredible love I felt from these 2. It was a kind of ,for lack of a better word "grandparent love" unconditional. They walked me up to the faery mound I had been sitting behind ,which suddenly had some kind of ...cliche as it is...big,hobbity wooden door in it. The door opened and I peered down and what I saw was a huge ballroom below me,a million golden faery lights...everything had a gold warm hue, the best way I could explain it would be to say it was a giant Faery ball.

I found myself then down amongst them. I seemed to be the same size as them. Everything was golden. There were waiters walking around with platters in their hands and faeries (i mean they were little golden, glowy people ) were taking food and goblets from the trays and drinking. I am ,of course BLOWN AWAY. There are lots of golden beings ,dancing to music from the middle ages..sort of piroetteing and some flying, there were musicians..I mean the WHOLE enchilada. I was mesmerized. A waiter (for lack of a better description) came by with a large golden platter and I heard inside my head in a VERY clear and loud voice. DO NOT EAT OR DRINK OF THIS.

I was very much caught up in the Spirit of the place but when I heard those words I stopped dead in my tracks, and the next thing I know I am back in my body on the bench. I didn't see the 2 old faced little gnome couple after they opened the hobbit door for me. So, now my mind is BLOWN. I am sitting there,on the bench,it's now getting dark and I am elated. I stumble back to the little bedsit I rented

.As I take off my coat (it was right before Halloween and chilly) and I am thinking about what had just happened, I feel something like wings the size of an open hand flutter out of the top of my jacket across my cheek. I was still so gobsmacked about the Faery Ball I had been to i didn't take much notice until I felt that wing across my cheek. I remember thinking "My God, the moths in this country are HUGE" I put together the size that moth must have been with a wingspan that big and immediately dropped to my knees looking for it because it had to have been the size of a small pidgin. I looked thru my clothes, under my bed,in my underwear,in my luggage,EVERYWHERE. Never found it.hmmmmmm A very curious day I had. ;0)

Thanks for the reply. I read the story that is why I had the question. You say she has spoken if the time before? Is that in a post here?

I know there is a huge time difference in Fairy compared to our dimension, can be days or weeks when you come out. So interested to know if someone who has been there experienced this.
