Lynn, I see you’re an art bell fan, can you tell me if there’s any other saga type videos of his that are like Mel’s hole? I just finished those on YouTube, art bell has been my go to before bed lately.
And back on topic Debi, I would love to one day see a UFO or something unexplainable in the sky. I envy you! Altho sorry to hear you felt unnerved by it

Adam, you might find it interesting that this forum began as one of the two Official Art Bell Forums. Since his passing, we have changed the name, but most here are huge fans who go "back in time" with the memories from Art. To get more info on his prior shows, try here:
There is also an archive on Spotify.
I would suggest the Elaine Bigfoot story, which is on this site somewhere (use search engine), Madman Marcum's story (Michael Marcum is also a member on this site), and the legendary tale of when Art managed to Crazy Glue his lips together while doing his show. I'm sure others will have more suggestions.
As for being unnerved during my sighting, I was in my very rural home at night, with something the size of a football field floating low over my home and making no sound. This was back in 1999 when these things were not commonly reported or usually got you side glances and rolled eyeballs if you claimed you saw something! Things have changed. ;)

Hi Adam and welcome to the forum. Debi has given you a good show option to listen to. I would also recommend the one with Mad Man Markum on his time travel machine. BTW he is also a member of the forum here.

Haha oh wow, now I feel like a true newbie! It was an Art Bell forum? That’s amazing. I love listening to the old shows, I shall dive into the link you sent, thank you! Did you ever discuss your sighting with Art Bell? It’s great you got to experience your sighting and be here to tell it, I am envious to be quite frank :D
At Christmas I bought some night vision binoculars, I’m fairly rural here in the uk, so this summer I plan to stay up and watch the sky in my hammock and hope to see something for the first time (other than the odd thing I think is probably a satellite but some do tend to move strangely in my opinion from what I’ve seen with the naked eye)
And thank you Lynn, I shall check out Madman Markum too!
PS do any of you guys listen to the ufo chronicles podcast? Worth checking out for those that haven’t, has an Art Bell vibe and also hosted by a nice guy ..
And RIP to the legend that is Art Bell!

Yes I did, but not on air. He answered my email confirming what I described as what he and his wife at the time, Ramona, saw in the desert, then jokingly told me the men in black had not appeared at his door yet.

Me, personally, I was always interested in the paranormal. But I found Coast to Coast after George Noory took over. I wonder what year that was... seems like ages ago. I remember Richard Hoagland was on a couple of times. And that is how I ended up on that site with Phil Plait.
Anyway.

George took on the fill in spot in 2001. Beginning in 2003, he took over the full time host slot.

Good times. Lots of cool and interesting stuff.
I am not saying that I believe any of it but still.

Welcome to the forum. Coast to Coast has declined over the years but in the years with Art it was wonderful and fun. The charm of terrestrial radio has faded with YouTube and streaming. Maybe we are all just too flooded with information and we arn't surprised anymore. Still the topics interest me and I am always looking for next good host.
Locking thread as it's wandered waaaay off course!
