Recent Past Life Experience

Search this thread

During my absence from the PNF i have been keeping extremely busy with work. One night i just could not get to sleep so i decided to try a new past life technique i stumbled upon. The results were mixed but interesting for sure.

The exercise has you 'walk back' the years until you reach a previous incarnation. I did not expect to 'walk' past my younger self, though in hindsight it was to be expected. I was somewhere in my pre-teens and did seem we made eye contact, which was pretty strange.

The previous incarnation i viewed was a span of a few decades of this guy's life. He (well i) was a commercial fisherman with a wife and child and life did not seem to be a very easy one. My, how things never change lol. The unexpected turn was knowing at first sight who these two family members were. They are two people very close to me in this life, though very different in roles and appearance.

During the 'walk', i jumped ahead and came to the day that version suffered a heart attack and passed away. I felt all of this and had to work my way out of this as quickly as possible. It took a few moments to subside those death feelings and though things returned to normal, i was quite fatigued afterwards. I guess once again, this is a warning to any who want to experience this without second party guidance and proper preparation. It can take a very real toll on you.

Now, i mentioned this had mixed results. The skeptic side of me tried to reason with what i experienced as latent memories or self-inserted scenarios. I love fishing so this could explain the commercial fishing aspect. Now, the spiritual side of me also felt this was why i enjoy fishing because it was an obvious big part of that life. The skeptic side of me also reasoned that people i know now were present during that life is easily explained. Also, the spiritual side of me has deeper explanations that souls tend to be together far longer than what we know now.

In the end, it's fine to question any experience you have. If you don't question, you don't learn or evolve. It's also fine to lean to your spiritual side because hey let's face it, there's so much about this life we don't understand. That is why we flock to awesome and welcoming sites such as the PNF. Knowing may not always be attainable.....perspective is.

Wow...I love the details in this, Selectric. I tend to agree with you that what was in your past contributes to your interests today. We know we are the same "soul", traveling life to life to grow and learn, so this makes perfect sense. And I would second your caution on trying this without a "safety" person or some type of "escape" word to take you out of it before experiencing too much. I think it was Dannion Brinkley who mentioned using a safety word to remind you to exit. You do not need to experience the entire exit of a past life. Please keep sharing! We're aiming to all be here on the new site right after Halloween!

Wonderful experience, Selectric! I once had a past life reading from a genuine psychic. She identified my daughter as being my best friend in a old West version of life, and again she was my brother during a Japanese war. Heavy stuff!

When i tried this, i was hoping to get a glimpse of the previous life i experienced many years ago. It was so brief that all i saw was a crumbling fountain amidst a town square with no paved road.

It was a surprise to me when i realized who the two family members were. Never would've figured those role reversals lol.

That's great! Now that i have been here for a little bit, it's like i never left lol. Trying to remember anything else i have experienced since i was last on. I had a bunch of threads on original site so trying to keep fresh and not rehash any of that. My Friend may be the only exception as it is what brought me to the PNF in the first place and still wrapping my head around all that.

Wow, great experience and detailed explanation.....if you have someone to "walk" you back, a guided meditation, use a metronome, (you can download one on your phone ) at about 70-75 BPM. then slowly dropped as you go deeper.....i dont do past life regressions but for deep meditation the effects of using a metronome are unbelievable. for this practice of regression i would agree with debi that its best to have someone to guide you back,. great post selectric

You can add on anything you like, Select. To keep you in the loop, looks like all the old threads will come over here in an archive form that you can access, but we are treating all forum areas as "new", so you can "rehash" whatever you wish or need to.

Thanks Paul. It was a spur of the moment thing and haven't attempted one in many years. I will keep the metronome in mind. I really should start meditating. My brain is usually all over the place by the end of the work week and in need of a zone to quiet the noise lol.
