Spirit Animal or Something Else?

I posted about this on another site (we won't go there lol) during my time away from the PNF. It was something i really wanted to get out there, though not where i wanted to initially post about it. There are other sites out there but, can lack the open minded aspect and respect the PNF steadfastly offers it's members. I thank this site once again for that!

I had a dream awhile ago involving my childhood home. It was the first i've had in some time and was followed later by the dream with the floating pillow thing. I was in the kitchen looking out the big window and saw something moving onto the lawn from the left side of the house. It was very dark outside and honestly can't remember if any light from the house illuminated this thing or it actually had a glow of it's own.

Thinking about it since, i do remember the final dream about My Friend and how IT had a glow of it's own. Coincidence or not i don't know but, enough to throw a flag up imo. I do remember standing on the lawn and observing it. It appeared to be a rabbit and once it stopped moving, it grew twice it's size to reveal more features. It was adorned in four leaf clovers and it was quite aware i was there watching it. It was facing the darkened street (we had no street lights at all) and i could just make out it looking at me from the side.

I didn't really know what to make of it, though it did give me some mixed vibes. Anytime i 'venture back' to that location, it always makes me think more than once. At first i wondered if it was a spirit animal of some sort and if anyone has ever experienced something similar? Of course the cautious side of me wonders if this was something else manifesting from that place? If this 'animal' truly had a glow to it, then does it tie together with My Friend? Not fully remembering if house lighting lit it up or not adds to the questions.

For a time i dubbed this the Lucky Bunny lol. For a time afterward, i did have rather decent luck so there's that lol. Now, another aspect is if some external lighting lit it up, that's a pretty detailed inclusion to a dream-only-scenario. What do you guys think? Nothing to ponder or are you curious/cautious like i am?

Rabbit visitations / dreams can mean you're in the baby stage of life. experiencing new paths or seeing new sides of life..... ( kinda goes with your quest in the paranormal )... but some also believe rabbits can be the form of "tricksters", so caution is also needed, especially if brought on by someone youre discussing the paranormal or abilities topics with.......always be sure you trust those you let in deep...... casual conversation is one thing, going any deeper than surface level requires real trust.

those are just two ideas that go along with your interest in the paranormal, but rabbits in dreams can have many meanings in many folklores.

You are very welcome. I've always had Rule #1 as Respect and plan to keep it that way around here!

As to the bunny...There are a ton of things attributed to him. Including that poor rabbit foot carried as luck. I have always been cautious in my approach to dream animal visitations and how I interpret them. With that said, the fact it is still raising questions for you appears to indicate you still have business with this fluff-tailed creature. I would do a bit of research on him as a spirit animal influence and see if any of it resonates with you in your life presently.

I looked into spirit animal meanings and yes, things did align. I have been warned not to put much stock in some meanings but, if it was anywhere but my childhood home as the back drop....

I mainly question the location. Anytime that place shows up tends to raise questions. Things did align with the meanings of a rabbit spirit animal and i ended up with decent luck for a time afterwards. Again, the location bugs me as i always feel i keep getting brought back there.

Perhaps i need to go there one day and scratch an itch that is either coming from me or somewhere else.

Looked into it again and could not find any spirit rabbit covered in four leaf clovers. It was a bizarre sight to say the least. I don't have any draw to the rabbit foot superstition and doesn't really fit the narrative. I did read something along the lines of protection and at the very least, it could've been keeping an eye out for anything lurking about.

Dreaming about a house i have not lived in for 37 years is becoming more than annoying. Whether i need to go there for me or whatever is circling the outfield, it's time. Some thing has to be confronted mentally, spiritually or both and may be the only option to bring these recurring dreams to an end.

I dont know the story of the house or what its meaning is to you, or what effect it holds for you. only you can know if confrontation or revisiting is needed. if its just a piece of your past that holds meaning or is in your subconscious that needs pulled up then perhaps seeing it again is what is needed to let it go. .....If it holds a darker or other purpose then go with caution and protection. clarity, for the rabbit can be a trickster.

There was some strange stuff that happened while living there for sure. The house was a new build but always felt it was an area thing and not the house itself. All i know is when my sister and i were very young, we never felt safe there. We would hear things in the closets and saw a shadow animal walk between us in the hallway.

All three of us slept walked when we were young. When i woke up in the down stairs powder room standing at the closed door, that freaked me out enough. The last occurrence when i was in high school was my bedroom door opening up by itself. I certainly had the most vivid and terrifying dreams of my life while living there. Some dreams i would find 'hidden doors' all over the house leading to places i have never been to, nor wanted to enter.

Once i was rid of My Friend, which i ousted in a dream involving that house, the dreams became more vivid. Each time feeling as though i was brought there without my consent. The most vivid was waking up in my bed (from back then) and not being able to move. Once i could get up, which took roughly ten minutes to get my body to move, i made my way into the hallway and kept repeating who was there? I knew someone/something was, and whatever it was, brought me there.

These dreams have been going on for a long time. I've lived in my current house for 25 years and rarely dream of this place. For a house i only lived in till i was a teen, it keeps coming back. Heck, even the blue house that was 100% haunted i don't even dream about, nor ever did. My sister still has dreams about the house as well.

One was shortly after i curb-kicked My Friend to leave me be. That one a grey mist wouldn't let my niece go, who was in my sister's childhood bedroom. That dream was too close to be a coincidence and i always felt it was my My Friend taking a stab at my sister and her daughter.

So, yeah a lot to have dealt with surrounding that house and whatever the thing was that i refer to as My Friend. I touched on a bunch of this stuff on the main site, not all. Coupled with all the other paranormal stuff i have experience throughout my life, i learned to not take these things with a grain of salt. I know the difference between a typical dream and what is not. Sure, i've had normal dreams pertaining to that house but, there are those specific ones that felt like they came from somewhere else and not some form of imagination.

Wherever that thing came from, feels like it's gone. I have not had a run in with it since before i joined the PNF. Now, is there stuff going on that feels something is hanging around? At times, yeah it does. Is it as terrifying as when My Friend was visiting? Not yet. I know more now than i did then. It's more of an annoyance than fear. That's why i feel i need to go there and perhaps face it in person. How i can do that, i am not really sure. I often wondered if the current owner had similar issues living there. Validation would be nice but, it isn't needed, honestly.

I've experienced enough to know there are things outside our perception. I also know that they are not completely out of our control. I have learned to not fear these things as i did. It has steered me right in the past so many years. I am spiritually stronger than i ever have been though, is anyone completely untouchable from this stuff?

strange how certain places can have an effect on us like that. i have a recurring dream/nightmare that always involves a past home. it was an old farmhouse on 2 acres. i lived there for 10 years after getting married. and to be honest, looking back it was one of the best places ive lived, one of the best points of life and probably the most carefree times of adult life. but always felt there was something below the surface of that place and i guess that "feel" is the source of the dreams. i understand your thoughts of returning, i too had similar wonderings, and actually have and still do go by the place whenever i am in that part of the state. it no longer stands and is now completely overgrown and heavily wooded. i dont think it is the place so much for me as it was the time and the life changes in that era of life. the old self left behind but sometimes surfaces to just say, "remember me?"..............

Oh yeah. Different parts of our life create special memories. I did love that house by a certain age. Whatever seems to affect children does seem to dissipate when we get older. For a time the nagging feelings i set aside and proceeded with my life.

Places we spend time at do become part of us, whether we want that or not. Those places where things seem to dwell in the nether, perhaps more. It's a shame your old house no longer stands. That always bothered me when a place is torn down or in essence erased from being. It always conjured feelings of a sort of sadness.

Places are memories and thus memories can manifest. What some forget is how long these places existed before our memories were included. Bundle all these memories into one focused location and see what happens. Now, there are those things that predate civilization...that is another story in itself.

going back there is like an archeological dig of ones own past. bringing up artifacts (memories) long lost to time. some, i think, were wanting to surface, thus the nagging feeling or dreams.....it does bring sadness to see the place now. what was once an old farmhouse and manicured land i spent a lot of time on has now been reclaimed by forest. only the foundation remains and it is vine covered. from what i have been told it actually burned within a short while after i left. and then abandoned to be lost to nature....... ive been there a few times since and always remember something new or look in awe at how much time changes everything from memories to actual physical structures..... and though it has a sadness to it i always leave feeling refreshed and with a smile........
