Your Hair is Energetic
In my younger years, I once dyed my hair 18 times in 24 months to not look so "native". Pretty much damaged it beyond saving and cut it all off. It also shifted my perceptions. Had to grow it all back out again before I felt my abilities return to a more "normal" state.
